GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Police Department celebrated Tuesday morning as officials accepted a $30,300 check that will help officers with multiple community initiatives.
The Green Bay Police Foundation awarded the grant funding, which will provide several thousand dollars to enhance the ability to serve and protect community members.
University of Wisconsin Hospitals ranked Number 1 in Wisconsin for 14th consecutive year
The following initiatives will receive money:
- $10,000 to the Wellness Program for enhancements
- $7,500 to the Dive Team for better water rescue equipment
- $7,500 to the Crisis Negotiation Team to provide safety equipment
- $5,300 to the Peer Support Team for training upgrades
“We are very grateful to the Green Bay Police Foundation for their support in reinforcing our commitment to keeping the community safe and strong,” the Green Bay Police Department said on Facebook.
