GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Monday’s temperature was highest of the past 12 days, with many people trying to enjoy the weather, especially to watch day 5 of the Packers training camp.
Many spectators brought water bottles, umbrellas, and cooling towels. Some using the free cut-outs of the players to use as a fan. One fan however, was prepared for the heat.

“I got the fan on today, I came prepared, my hair all tied up, shorts on, t-shirt, I really have no problem, because I have the fan, I feel bad for these people who didn’t think ahead,” says Cathy Fischer from Sparks, Nevada.
While the railbirds sat and watched the Packers practice in the sun, many were heading to local pools, like the Joannes Aquatic Center, where they saw a season-high 600 visitors yesterday.
“Yesterday was actually our busiest day, with over 600 people.” says Soo-Yin Brown, pool director, “It’s fluctuated more, where colder days we have 100, warmer days we see around 500.”
After a long day of watching practice, and going for a swim, many head to get some ice cream, to get that sweet treat after a long hot day, something BrainFreeze ice cream shop owner Deanna Henkle, says is her favorite time of year.

“You get a lot of new people who come into the shop, where if they are up visiting family or something, or at a tournament, they say OH! There is an ice cream shoppe.”
Hot days like this, is the constant reminder to always drink plenty of water, and wear sunscreen when outdoors.
