30-year-old Green Bay man dies after crashing into ravine in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Wis. (WFRV) – A 30-year-old Green Bay man died after he crashed into a ravine on the side of Williams Grant Drive in Lawrence on Thursday night.

According to the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department, the incident happened around 8:40 p.m. on February 22 in the 2700 block of Williams Grant Drive.

Hobart-Lawrence police responded to the scene and said that an initial investigation showed that the vehicle, being driven by a 30-year-old man from Green Bay, was heading south when he reportedly failed to maneuver a curve.

Officers say the vehicle went straight off the road into a ravine and did not appear that the vehicle had slowed before leaving the road.

Life-saving measures were provided by emergency services personnel and the 30-year-old was taken to a local hospital. However, he later died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

The crash is under investigation, and authorities have not released any additional information.

Hobart-Lawrence Police Department was assisted by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Lawrence Fire Department, De Pere Rescue, and the Brown County Communications Center.
