The deputy believed the driver, a 44-year-old Shawano man, was “involved in criminal activity” and requested a K9 for an exterior sniff of the vehicle.

After a positive alert, the vehicle was searched and deputies allegedly found a “significant amount of a white powdery substance” that reportedly later tested positive for cocaine. Deputies say the cocaine was weighed in at 112 grams, or nearly a 1/4 pound, and was logged into evidence.

It was also noted that a smaller amount of marijuana and multiple boxes of ammunition were located in the vehicle as well.
