Light The Night market returns to downtown Appleton

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Light the Night Market was back for its second year in downtown Appleton.

The event brings thousands of people to Appleton closing down a long stretch of College Avenue from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday. It features a wide variety of vendors, food trucks, and live entertainment.

Local 5 News is the official broadcast partner of Light The Night. Mother Nature ushered in beautiful weather for the event this year, it was in the 70s and sunny and clear for most of the event.

“This is an opportunity that we couldn’t pass up, this is where neighbors are coming out, families are coming out and enjoying the first hints of summer,” said William Green who is the owner of Fox City Flix which specializes in indoor and outdoor movie projection and gaming.

If you missed the fun Friday, don’t worry! Appleton will have two more Light the Night markets—on July 19 and Nov. 16.
