Major fire and smoke damage caused to Two Rivers home, estimated property damage of $150,000

TWO RIVERS, Wis. (WFRV) – Multiple agencies helped to put out a house fire in Two Rivers on Thursday night, with officials saying the fire caused ‘major’ damage.

According to the Two Rivers Fire Department, fire personnel responded to a home in the 2500 block of 44th Street around 9:30 p.m. on May 2.

The first crews to arrive found black smoke and flames coming from a first-floor bedroom. It was noted that only one person and a pet were inside of the home and they both were able to get out safely before crews arrived.

No injuries were reported.

Authorities say the home suffered ‘major’ fire and smoke damage and estimate the property damage to be around $150,000. The fire is currently under investigation.
