Man who fled from a Wisconsin home after triggering burglar alarm leads deputies on pursuit with stolen truck

CLEVELAND, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in western Wisconsin are looking for a man accused of stealing a pickup truck while fleeing the scene of two separate homes before leading deputies on a pursuit.

A release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office states that deputies were first notified of a man arriving at a residence on County Road B in Cleveland, claiming to have been in a crash before leaving the home.

While deputies were responding to the area, a residential burglar alarm was reported and a man was reportedly seen fleeing the scene on a UTV. The UTV was later found at a home on Hill Road after deputies pursued the vehicle.

Shortly after, a pickup truck was seen leaving the home on Hill Road, allegedly fleeing from a deputy who made contact with the truck, causing the squad car to become disabled.

Authorities are still looking to identify the suspect and find the stolen vehicle.

The suspect is said to be a medium to tall thin man, with longer hair. He was last seen wearing black shoes and a hooded sweatshirt.

The vehicle is a 2007 GMC Sierra K2500 pickup with a flatbed and a Wisconsin license plate of EP1809. Deputies noted that the truck should have damage on the driver’s side.
