More sun and warmer temperatures incoming

The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

Over the next two days, we will experience more sunshine with temperatures going up each day. Looking ahead to this weekend, our next rain and snow chance will be late Friday night into Saturday morning, with the highest chance for snow accumulation across the northwoods.

Skies start partly cloudy with lots of sunshine emerging for Thursday morning and afternoon. The only exception will be the northwoods where some cloud cover will remain, and that will hold temperatures into the upper 30s. Everywhere else should get warmer with sunshine. Temps rise into lower and middle 40s. One downside to the day will be a west wind from 10 to 25 miles per hour that will make it feel a bit breezy from time to time.

Tonight, high pressure driving into the state will lighten the winds up and provide mainly clear skies during the night. Extra clouds will linger over the north. Lows around 24 degrees.

Looking really nice on Friday! Mostly sunny again with even warmer temperatures in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees. Winds will also be light, making it feel extra nice.

INTO THE WEEKEND: we will be watching for rain and snow showers to develop around or after midnight Friday into Saturday morning. The showers will exit most of the area by mid-morning, while the lakeshore may see showers until 10 or 11am. The vast majority of counties will get rain or a light wintry mix, while the northwoods could get an inch or two of snowfall accumulation.

Saturday, rain or snow in the morning, partly sunny and dry in the afternoon with a high of 45 degrees.

Easter Sunday will show mainly cloudy skies with near normal temperatures around 47 degrees. There is a chance some southern counties may get a rain shower at the end of the day, but widespread rain is not anticipated.
