Morning clouds and fog once again for Sunday

The Latest Northeast Wisconsin Forecast from Storm Team 5…

Stubborn clouds this morning eroded away thanks to the sun above clearing us out to mostly sunny skies. That allowed temperatures in Green Bay and the Fox Valley to warm up to the upper 30s to low 40s this afternoon. For tonight a few clouds could roll back in but with mainly clear skies and calm winds, look for areas to develop some patchy fog overnight. Low temperatures will drop to below freezing, so condensation from the fog could freeze on surfaces and result in a few slippery spots.

A similar day is in store for Sunday, with AM fog and clouds giving way to mostly sunny skies in the afternoon. Temperatures will once again make a run at the low 40s for some. More clouds and fog roll in for Sunday night with a few slippery spots possible once again with another night of temperatures below freezing.

The blocking pattern we’ve been seeing recently will start to break down Monday, so calling it a mix of sun and clouds Monday and Tuesday. The trend will be for temperatures to start a climb even warmer then recently into the mid 40s by Tuesday and low 50s by Thursday. Rain showers arrive in the afternoon hours of Thursday. Not ideal temperatures for the start of sturgeon spearing season on Saturday.
